Who
I'm Timothy, the designer behind forma. I started my career as a carpenter building homes across Cornwall before moving to London to study Architecture at the School of Art, Architecture and Design (formerly Cass). I earned a Bachelors with First-Class Honours and a Masters with Distinction, and have since worked in several renowned award-winning practices in the UK and in the US before starting my own studio.
What
We start by understanding what's currently not working in your home, and what you're looking to achieve. Using your brief, we produce two or three design options that address it in different ways, which we'll go over together until the direction feels right. From there, we prepare the required drawings and documentation, submit the planning application, and guide it through to a decision.
Where
Working entirely remotely, we take on residential projects across the UK, including Bath and Somerset, Cornwall, Cumbria and the Lake District, Leicestershire, and Scotland; and across the US and internationally, including California, Texas, and Vermont – to date. Our work spans extensions and renovations, barn conversions, new builds, single-storey homes and bungalows, and annexes and outbuildings.
